Hudson’s Hope Logo Reveal
A logo tells the unique story of a brand, and the Hudson’s Hope logo tells a meaningful one. I am excited to reveal our Hudson’s Hope logo and the story behind each element.
The first thing you’ll likely notice is the sun. It conveys the bright light that Hudson was and continues to be to so many. In addition, Hudson loved sunrises and sunsets like his mama. The two H’s that form the rays of the sun of course stand for Hudson’s Hope.
The main colors are Hudson’s 2 favorites: first yellow, and more recently royal blue. As a toddler, he followed in his sister’s footsteps by loving yellow. He had yellow crocs, yellow rainboots and a yellow raincoat, a yellow mustang (originally Addie’s)… you name it. In addition, yellow is used to represent childhood cancer awareness. As Hudson grew older, he switched his favorite color to royal blue like his daddy. They could often be seen wearing royal blue clothes together. We chose royal blue for Hudson’s casket, and he will wear his royal blue fleece shark jammies forever. Addie has slept with Hudson’s royal blue shark lovie that was placed on his casket during his viewing every night since her brother went to heaven, and has recently declared blue as her favorite color.
The gray ribbon in the middle represents brain tumor awareness. Hudson had the deadliest type of brain tumor, DIPG (diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma), found in an area of the brainstem known as the pons. Gray also happens to be Hudson’s second favorite color.
Finally, there are two circles representing Hudson’s life. When Huds was asked about the pandemic in his last few months here on earth, he called it “the circle of life.” He was wise beyond his years, although not realizing how quickly his circle would close. A circle also represents eternity, symbolizing eternal love and his eternal life in heaven.
And there you have it - the Hudson’s Hope logo.
